PROFILE

Miss CARICOM International Foundation-CAP Inc. (MCI-CAP), is a registered non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, in permanent consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council, operating in the USA, the Caribbean, and Africa that was founded and established By Dr.Monica Sanchez.

As an NGO, MCI-CAP is a collaborative empowerment skill training network that is committed to the ongoing uplifting and education of people in our multinational African and Caribbean Diasporas communities specifically the empowerment of women and children.

MCI-CAP is dedicated to the empowerment of communities and the enhancement of assistance to underserved disenfranchised people and providing them with quality programs, and skill training services; to ensure their health, and amplify education and economic independence. This will optimize the individual potential for independence and self-sustainability.

MISSION

To empower people, especially women and girls, who are marginalized, to improve their well-being, influence development in their communities, and connect to networks for support by educating them to utilize their skills, knowledge, and resources to uplift their lives and others.

VISION

A peaceful world where individuals especially woman and are not abused, poor, untrained or marginalized; where people are equal and have full and equal participation, a processes that ensure health, education and economic independence; and where everyone has the freedom to self-expression, identify and to strive to achieve their full potential.

FOUNDER, MISS CARICOM INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION | DIRECTOR, SAVE AFRICA CHILDREN, USA

Ambassador Dr. Monica Sanchez is a well-accomplished individual with a diverse background and an impressive range of achievements. She is the founder of the Miss Caricom International Foundation CIP Inc., an organization with consultative status at the United Nations With programs such as the Miss Caricom International Beauty Pageant, Additionally, she serves as the Dean of the UNESCO Institute of Fashion Education, where she has taught essential life skills to more than 250,000 young individuals. Over 20,000 of these students have successfully started their own businesses under her guidance. She is also a retired NYS CORRECTION Officer.

Dr. Sanchez also holds the position of Director of Save Africa Children, an organization dedicated to addressing social vices affecting children. This initiative has established offices and programs in nine countries across the globe. With a degree in criminal justice and a business management degree, among others, Dr. Sanchez’s academic qualifications reflect her dedication to knowledge and versatility.

Recognized for her outstanding contributions as an advocate for marginalized people especially children and her commitment to campaign for gender equality under the UN SDG Dr. Sanchez has received over 100 honors and citations throughout her career. She has been invited as a speaker to international events, including speaking engagements at the United Nations on more than 12 occasions where she has submitted to the UN more than a dozen written statements on UN IISSUES AND THE SDG’s With her excellent oratory skills and expertise, Dr. Sanchez also works as a public speaker, political consultant, and fundraiser.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Dr. Sanchez holds multiple licenses and roles. She is a licensed real estate broker, a notary, and a Chaplin. With her extensive experience and expertise, she remains a valuable asset in various fields.

Currently, Dr. Sanchez focuses on running a non-governmental organization (NGO) at the United Nations. Her dedication to empowering youth, addressing social issues, and promoting entrepreneurship continues to make a significant impact globally.

With an international staff and trainers regionally and internationally Miss CARICOM Foundation-CIP Inc. brings communities together to interact, learn life, business, and vocational skills; increase their ability to grow with the knowledge and skills that are in demand,  address chronic issues; learn about their legal rights,  health, and nutrition. The result: stronger women, stronger families, and stronger communities, therefore: “Strengthening our women to build strong nations.”

WHAT WE DO

With over twenty-seven years of on-the-ground experience working with and facilitating women in the USA, Caribbean, and Africa, our multi-level programs address the cultural, social, and economic empowerment of communities through encouraging creative arts and life skill training, which we find is the most effective approach for growth and sustainable change.

OBJECTIVES 

  1. To develop and establish a cohesive link within the international fashion business industry and consumer service markets within the Diasporas
  2. To promote new youth and social development ideas that are both creative and innovative 
  3. To create sustainable projects to facilitate further development for exchanges within the international business and cultural communities  
  4. To promote peace, unity, leadership, and good citizenship as well as provide positive alternatives for young people

PROJECT EMPOWERING, AFRICA CARIBBEAN FOR ELEVATION (PEACE)

WHY PEACE?

There is no doubt that there is high teen pregnancy, STD’S, and addiction, as well as the incidences of rape, suicide, and other social vices, are on the increase in today’s society  These issues have become chronic, unfortunately, our youth population have fallen victim which is devastating as it has become epidemic internationally across sectors, MCI- CIP Inc through its international PEACE Program along with its partner Save Africa’s Children on Social vices addressed these issues through an eclectic line up of programs executed in the USA, Caribbean, and Africa

The MCI-CAP PEACE project engages a collective of skill-training individuals through its international network of like-minded “Save the World” thinkers who are proactive.

Using a hands-on skill-sharing approach to address the critical needs of disenfranchised individuals. The goal is to primarily give women and young people access to multiindustry tools, resources, and the opportunity to orchestrate their development and improve their quality of life. We think this will ultimately inspire the next generation.

STRATEGY

The strategy is to integrate skill trainiers, and professional business best practice applications, with conscious sensitivity to penetrate the service industries and utilizing its message of “PEACE” as an advantage in creating an impact on communities initially to cultivate a presence that will measure our success as well as our collective sustainability.

The overall objectives of the creation the  Project Empowering, Africa Caribbean for Elevation (PEACE) provide:

  • A platform to encourage consciousness development and awareness, for women and youth to promote good health practices /education and youth development in the Caribbean (The creation “PEACE” has been created to accomplish that objective)
  • The opportunity to engage CARICOM in community exchanges
  • An opportunity to affirm Monica Sanchez’s contribution to the worldwide tapestry.
  • To create events that attract a signification amount of positive attention.
  • The opportunities for organizations and businesses to promote their products and services.
  • The opportunity to increase public awareness and empower individuals, host events and programs that will empower the diaspora communities on business entertainment, social & cultural issues.
